Junior Compositing Artist

About the job

  • The compositing artist works with a Light/Comp Team with their Lead and their Key Artists. According to the inventory, the Compositing Artist may work on another mission  with another LC team.
  • Transcribe and interpret artistic requests in a technical environment.
  • Sublimate the lighting by building on visual references (photography, concept art, etc…) to achieve a cinematographic look (grading, effects, etc…).

Must have

  • Thorough understanding of Nuke, its 3D environment and tools.
  • Thorough knowledge of Lighting Rendering, master AOVs and handle issues as aliasing, granurality, etc…).
  • Understanding of color and colorimetric management.
  • Knowledge of photography and Cinematography.
  • Knowledge of Deep Compositing.

Nice to have

  • A first professional experience on animated or VFX films.
  • Experience in lighting.
  • Knowledge of Script Languages associated to Nuke as Python, TCL, BlinkScript.
  • Knowledge of optics science.
  • Knowledge in creating tools to meet project needs
  • Knowledge in ACES

About you

  • French and/or English fluency is required
  • Strong communication skills and ability to take notes and direction
  • Ability to work within a team, prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines
  • Onsite work only (no remote work)
  • We favor European Union citizens or candidates with French work permit. We will not be able to obtain a visa for this position.

Middle VFX Artist

About the job

  • Responsible for effects works in Houdini and Maya.
  • Create either stylized or photorealistic effects based on the concept art.
  • Accurately interpret concept art and designs from the Art Department.
  • Work in partnership with effects specialists to ensure that shots are delivered to the highest possible standard.

Must have

  • A thorough understanding of Houdini and Maya
  • Previous experience creating FX elements and working with fluid & particle dynamics
  • Ability to quickly master custom in-house production tools

Nice to have

  • Basic knowledge of lighting and compositing (Nuke)
  • Basic knowledge of Python, Mel and Hscript
  • Feature film experience

  • Available in Paris – No remote work

  • To assist the production and supervision team in the smooth running of projects by ensuring an accurate and efficient flow of information.
  • To coordinate the flow of information and elements between artists and departments.
  • To manage the day-to-day work of an assigned department team.
  • To keep databases up to date with elements and shot status.
  • To coordinate dailies and take notes.

Must have

  • Experience in working with databases.

Nice to have

  • Experience in 3D animation.
  • Knowlegde of Shotgun.
  • Knowledge of Maya.
